S
ince it was founded in 1994, the Ameson Foundation has earned its esteemed reputation by working with world leading scholars, government officials and elite universities. In 2002, the Ameson Foundation signed an agreement with the University of Cambridge to work with the school to find China's best and brightest candidates for overseas study.

Based on the success of Ameson's work with the University of Cambridge, a number of other elite schools began to work with the foundation also. For example, the Ameson Chinese Elite Identification Scheme now boasts 11 world-leading schools as members.

Notable affiliations

Every year, Ameson helps several dozen elite Chinese high school students to secure admission to some of the world's finest universities. Building such ambitious bridges is a huge collaborative effort. Here is a brief overview of some of the groups that we have developed relationships with, in pursuit of our core mission:

Elite Universities

The University of Cambridge is consistently ranked among the top 5 universities in the world. The Ameson Foundation began working with the university in 2004 to identifiy and select China's best students as candidates for admission. In China, Ameson regularly hosts dignitaries from Cambridge, who spend a great deal of time counseling Ameson Institute students in order to give them a realistic picture of study abroad opportunities.

In addition to the University of Cambridge, Ameson also has developed deep relations with UCLA, the University of Chicago, the University of Bristol, the University of Melbourne and many other reputable education institutions.

Chinese government officials

Ameson makes effective use of its overseas resources and its international reputation to actively promote educational development programs in China. None of these programs would be possible, however, without the generous support of the Chinese government.

In 2003, Ameson assisted in building relationships between the University of Oxford (UK) and McGill University (Canada) with the Liaoning Provincial Education Department, the Jilin Provincial Education department and the Anhui Provincial Education Department in order to host various education international symposiums.

In addition, in March 2009, Ameson worked with the Beijing Ministry of Education to organize the Sino-US Seminar on Diversity in High Schools. Among the Chinese officials in attendance was Ms. Chen Xiaoya, the Deputy Minister of Education; Tao Xiping, the adviser to National School Inspector and Vice-Chairman of The Chinese Society of Education; and Mr. Dai Jiagan, Director of the National Education Examinations Authority.

Along with the seminar, Ameson worked with the Nanjing Bureau of Education to organize the Nanjing Forum on the Reform and Development of Sino-American Secondary Education.
